Performance Foodservice, a powerhouse in food distribution within the United States, is currently seeking a dedicated and efficient Class A Delivery Driver to join our team. Our drivers are crucial to our operations, as they are the primary point of contact between Performance Foodservice and our extensive range of customers—from cozy family-owned eateries to large national chains. With a fleet tasked with delivering over 150,000 food and related products nationwide, we depend on our drivers to be the face of our renowned service, commitment, and reliability. Safely operate a tractor-trailer/commercial motor vehicle to transport and deliver products to customer locations in a timely and professional manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle and equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements. Load and unload cargo, verifying the accuracy and condition of loads to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all delivered goods and manage receipts and payments as required. Adhere to company safety policies and procedures to minimize accidents and maximize safety. Provide outstanding customer service by resolving delivery-related issues in a prompt and courteous manner. Stay compliant with all DOT regulations and maintain a clean and safe driving record. Skilled in operating commercial vehicles and capable of handling physical requirements of the job including lifting and moving heavy loads. Strong time-management and customer service skills. Ability to maintain accurate logs and records. Knowledge of safety standards and protocols, local roadways and traffic regulations. Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) preferred.
