As an Account Development Representative (ADR), most time will be spent on the road visiting accounts, developing relationships with retailers and selling in Hallmark programs. The incumbent is expected to act as a consultant with independent store owners, partnering to prioritize retailer health and franchisee development while optimizing sales throughout the network. He/she should be focused on joint business planning with owners, targeted goal setting, proactive action planning and the persistent follow through necessary to maximize revenues, address sales gaps and ensure execution at store level that is consistent with Hallmark's standards. * Be the 'face' of the Hallmark Brand with our Hallmark retailers, working together to leverage artistry, multiculturalism and localization to extend market reach and deliver a personalized, one-on-one customer experience. * Manage your own territory from a home office, partnering with independent store owners to help them profitably deliver the Hallmark Brand Promise through effective execution at store level. * Reps are also expected to participate in Market Development initiatives, identifying opportunities for new distribution and/or new franchisees. * The work is very autonomous, with no direct reports, although the incumbent is required to provide direction on/management of larger projects such as program revisions, store installations, renovations and relocations. * Successful candidate would have responsibility for Quebec. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: * University degree * Experience working in a customer-focused sales environment * In addition to other pre-employment contingency checks, a driver check on a valid drivers license will also be completed. Individuals with three or more driving-related violations in a 3-year period, and those with a record of any driving-related violation or offense involving drugs or alcohol with the last five years will not be eligible for this position. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience selling or consulting with franchised businesses * Strong customer orientation - clear and strong understanding of retailer goals/business needs. Must possess the strategic planning, resourcefulness and adaptability to ensure customer satisfaction * Results driven - Activates priorities in a manner that is focused on attaining key sales and performance objectives * Strong relationship management abilities; able to establish and maintain collaborative and productive working relationships with internal partners and assigned retailers. Must possess the ability to effectively navigate conflict and negotiate solutions. * Able to effectively articulate Hallmark's strategy, products and programs, and communicate effectively (both written and verbal in French and English). * Able to think strategically! * Candidates living in/around the following areas are preferred: East Montreal. Principals only, please. Relocation is not available. Each Home Instead franchise is independently owned and operated.
