The Director of Clinical Applications serves as the senior lead
responsible for the clinical initiatives to NEHII participants.
This position will lead initiatives and development in coordination
with NEHII’s strategic plan with primary responsibility to the
NEHII Social Determinants of Health Platform. The candidate will
have extensive knowledge of the regions landscape of social needs,
information technology, clinical systems, community based
organizations, healthcare business applications, , state assistance
programs, data analytics, storage, and virtualization
Direct deployment and maintenance of applications to meet the
needs of the NEHII (SDoH) i nitiatives .
Guide the team in cooperation with leadership that maps the
states SDoH resources. Day-to-day leadership and management of the
staff and contractors that support the mission of the NEHII SDoH
platform and other clinical applications.
Support strategy and operations of applications and staff for
all clinical platforms and programs
Support applications of care management, social determinants,
event notification, ePrescribing, analytics, dashboards, data
engineering, workflow integration, and claims data as they
Provide direction to the development team for implementation of
ideas and concepts generated, as well as communicate with internal
users, development personnel and other technical staff.
Provide direction in complex problem-solving situations and
participate in direct interaction with developers as required.
Oversee the team by hiring, training, reporting, scheduling,
ensuring quality and enabling systems.
Manage to key performance indicators by continuously
streamlining and improving operations.
Work with NEHII participants to support applications and
initiatives to ensure support and troubleshooting based on their
individual requirements and needs.

Responsible for enabling and implementing clinical platform
analytics and create the role of a reporting platform by building
system integration and data sharing across platforms with
architectures that standardize and simplify data management.

Track and communicate relevant industry trends and

according to communicated service level objectives (SLOs).

Education and Experience Requirements:
RN, MSW or MPH required. Clinical informatics training
preferred. RNs/MSWs must have an active, unrestricted license.
Experience in working with community-based organizations that

5+ years of experience working in health information and data
5+ years of management experience, leading and managing
Experience with systems design and development from business
requirements analysis through to day-to-day management.
Certification or training in leading product development
methodologies (e.g. Scrum Master, Agile, etc.) and SDLCs.
Experience with enterprise architecture systems development,
systems integration, IT operations, business continuity and
Expert knowledge of business process analysis and redesign.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with
technical staff, non-technical staff, and end-users for
requirements gathering, testing, training, and outcome
