Job Description What does a great Application Analyst (Embedded Developer) do? You will be part of a support group that provides software/hardware solutions for manufacturing equipment and operations to ensure they meet all SLAs for the client. In this role you will be designing, implementing, and enhancing embedded software that interfaces with Print/Embossing and Plastics equipment. As an Application Analyst (Embedded Developer), you can look forward to: * Coding applications using standard programming languages such as Microsoft Visual Studio C++, VB.Net, C# . * Coding machine subsystems, Programmable Logic Controller, FPGA's, Micro Controller . * Writing SQL for Oracle and SQL server. * Performing machine application configuration . * Working closely with the mechanical engineers on design and upgrades for new and existing equipment. * Assisting other teams to build project requirements. * Research, develop and deploy new technologies to increase customer capabilities. * Maintain all manuals, tools and test equipment. * Training and deployment of applications and equipment. * Must be able to identify improvements across process, and technology * Write application design documentation. * Must ensure cost savings initiatives are occurring to reduce the amount of liability. This is accomplished through project initiatives. Basic Qualifications for Consideration: * Associate's Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent educational background, i.e., military technical schools or work experience) * Minimum 12 months as Associate Technical Engineer or equivalent work experience required. * Strong mechanical ability (or equivalent educational background, i.e., military technical schools or work experience) * Ten percent travel may be required/Two to 6 times per year * Must also be able to travel to work at multiple onsite locations in Omaha, NE * Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) * Basic understanding of Microsoft Visual Studio. * Basic understanding for relational database and binary logic. * Ability to read and interpret electrical/electronic schematics. * Must have a good understanding of machine control networks. * Basic hand tool knowledge and experience.
