Job Description:

Influence, train and communicate with other employees to produce quality castings while reducing scrap and rework, meeting on time shipment schedules, minimizing cost and maintaining a positive work environment. Duties, Responsibilities and Skills: Manage and develop employees Manage the cost of the department Train employees on procedures Manage continual improvement Maintain the department with a 5S philosophy Reduce/eliminate scrap Assist maintenance with maintaining equipment Establish intervals of tooling repair/cleaning Communicate with other supervisors to improve quality and productivity Act in a professional manner when conducting business for the company Be knowledgeable of the companys ISO program Lead employees with direction and influence; maintain a positive working environment Conduct quality inspections and carry out reaction plans as needed to resolve issues Carry out aspects of a Supervisor Communicate daily with any/all departments directly related to the position Operate manual machines and power hand tools Perform documentation such as routing, scheduling and quality Perform housekeeping as needed to maintain a clean and safe work environment Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned Must have High School diploma or GED; two (2)+ years experience preferred; leadership training and forklift experience are a plus. Must be able to lead, supervise and work with a variety of employees Must be able to schedule production as needed Must be able to read and write in English Must be able to multitask Must be a good communicator Must possess good writing skills. Able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in an unsupervised manner Must have reliable attendance, willing to work flexible hours, & work well with others Must perform other duties as assigned
