position is responsible for providing Neurological Diagnostics
procedures in all patient care areas. Assess diagnostics needs of
patients and works under medical supervision operating
sophisticated medical equipment. Has passed board certification and
retains Registered EEG Tech status.
Performs standard and complex electroencephalographic
a) applies suitable electrodes on
predetermined measured positions and checks their

case under study; takes standard recordings; recognizes artifacts
and takes appropriate steps to eliminate them; describes normal and

and sleep; obtains the patient's cooperation for the best
performance of these procedures; monitors on the same apparatus
other variables such as electromyogram, electrocardiograms,
electro-oculograms, respiration, etc., when indicated.

Assists physician with electromyography. Places the patient on the
examination table and explains procedure.
Keeps equipment in a clean operating condition. Troubleshoots and
repairs minor malfunctions in the equipment. Initiates repair of

Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential
