Position Highlights:
The Neurosciences Specialty Unit has built a culture that is centered around the value of Teamwork. The staff on this unit developed the unit motto of "On this team, success is measured by the success of those around us".
Nebraska Medicine is nationally recognized for its expertise in Neurology and Neurosurgery, serving as the state's only certified comprehensive stroke center. The Neurosciences Specialty Unit offers a unique opportunity to care for patients with a variety of neurological conditions such as strokes, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, ALS, vascular malformations, and aneurysms. The 48-bed Neurosciences Specialty Unit encompasses an 8-bed epilepsy monitoring unit specializing in electroencephalogram (EEG) monitoring. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play an integral part in our commitment to advancing the care of neurological patient in not only the Omaha region but nationwide.

Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with other health care providers to meet holistic care needs of a designated group of patients. Environment of care may be long term, emergent, critical, acute, interventional, or procedural driven.

Shift Details:
Full Time
Days (7am - 7pm) or Nights (7pm-7am)

Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with other health care providers to meet holistic care needs of a designated group of patients. Environment of care may be long term, emergent, critical, acute, interventional, or procedural driven.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required unless candidate meets all of the factors to qualify for Exception A or Exception B*.
* Effective communication skills required.
* Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork and flexibility required.
* Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
