Retail Pharmacy Intern - (Retail Pharmacy)

Position Highlights:

Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as an Retail Pharmacy Intern. This role will be great for someone that has a passion for pharmacy and great customer service for our patients we serve. This specific position will work from the Nebraska Medicine campus (Durham Outpatient Center Pharmacy) in Omaha, NE.

Ideally this role will be for an incoming P1 Fall 2021 entering pharmacy school.

The Pharmacy Intern role will be Part Time/Casual working week day evening shifts and weekends on both days/evening shifts . Shifts are 4 hours on weekdays and 8 hours on weekends. To be considered for this role, one must be currently enrolled OR enrolled Fall 2021 in a ACPE Doctor of Pharmacy Program and either a licensed Nebraska Pharmacy Intern OR Registered as a Pharmacy Technician.

Part Time

Shifts will be 4 hours on weekdays, 8 hours on weekends

Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the incumbent shall prepare, dispense and distribute medication and provide clinical monitoring and drug information in a manner, which ensures optimal patient care.

Required Qualifications:
High school education or equivalent required.

Currently accepted to an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy program required.

Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and patients.

Employee must demonstrate basic computer skills and use of typical office equipment.

Licensed Nebraska pharmacy intern or registered as a pharmacy technician with the State of Nebraska Board of Pharmacy required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous pharmacy experience preferred.

Basic Life Support certification preferred.
