Job Description:

Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative new hires are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the first day of their employment or have an approved medical or religious exemption on file.

The Quality Child Care Partnership provides support to the Licensing Toolkit and Wonderschool programs. -This position also supports the growth and development of the Family Child Care Network (FCCN) and the Quality Child Care Partnership (QCCP) department of the Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative (NECC).

Duties and Responsibilities

Serves as the primary contact for Spanish speaking family child care providers seeking licensure and recruits potential providers to participate in the Licensing Toolkit program.
Provides -information -and -helps -potential Spanish speaking providers -determine -whether -opening -their -own -family -child care business is the right choice for -them.
Assist providers -in -navigating -the -family -child -care -licensing -process -and performs -pre-inspections -to -ensure -providers' -spaces -are -set -up -properly -and -meet -state health, safety, and quality standards.
Supports new child care providers in obtaining their state licenses and successfully opening their family child care programs.
Assists in enrolling family child care providers in the Wonderschool platform and provides on-going technical assistance.
Conduct Quality and Safety Vision mentoring sessions with family child care providers.
Aids family child care providers in accessing all FCCN services.
Supports the program offerings of the FCCN and QCCP, specifically the Licensing Toolkit program, Wonderschool, and Elevated Network benefits, in collaboration with others.
Responds to provider inquiries and connects them with all available NECC and community -resources.
Collaborates with internal departments and external partners to further the growth and development of the Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative, Quality Child Care Partnership department and Family Child Care Network.
Translate English materials and documents to Spanish.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, adult education, business, economic development, entrepreneurship, or related field preferred. -An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the job duties and responsibilities will be considered.
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience required.
Experience or education in early childhood education required.
Experience working with family and/or center-based programs is highly preferred.
Experience working with Omaha child care programs is highly preferred.
Experience or education in business, economic development, entrepreneurship, small business development, management, adult education, or related fields preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics

Fluent in English and Spanish required (Speaking and Written)
Skilled in teaching classes to adult learners.
Knowledge of best practices and community resources for early care and education.
Mission-driven with a commitment to making high-quality early care and education available to all children.
Good listener, strong written and oral communication skills.
