APP Nocturnist - Critical Care
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Position Highlights:
Will need to be 100% comfortable with nights. Previous night shift experience would be recommended. All levels of experience are welcome to apply. Will cover critical care, trauma, emergency general surgery, as well as liver/kidney transplant, rotating weekends and holidays as well. Critical care experience preferred.

Provide comprehensive health care to individuals in an inpatient ICU setting. Diagnose and treat critically ill patients on the following services: Acute Care Surgery (Trauma, Emergency General Surgery, SICU), Critical Care Medicine (CCM White, CCM Red), and Transplant (Transplant Nephrology, Liver/ Intestine Transplant, Kidney/Pancreas). Accurately diagnose and treat critical illness in patients with sepsis or severe infection, medication and drug overdose, respiratory failure. Initiate treatment and manage care for patients requiring ventilatory support in patients with complex pulmonary conditions Perform and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic medical and/or surgical procedures.

Required Qualifications:

Nurse Practitioner
* Master's degree in nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
* Minimum of two years RN experience or equivalent combination of RN and nurse practitioner experience combined (two years of RN experience equals one year of APRN experience) required.
* Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska or current compact state required.
* Currently licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) required.
* Appropriate certification required based on position, department and population served:
Adult Gerontology Acute Care (AGACNP-BC);
Adult (ANP-BC);
Family (FNP-BC) - will be required to obtain post graduate certificate for AGACNP-BC within 3 years of hire or transfer date
Adult Gerontology Primary Care (AGPCNP-BC)
