You're going to coordinate and facilitate daily activities to meet
defined objectives and outcomes.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicates with other shifts about molding machine problems,
quality problems and changes in molding process and handling,
including any associated documentation.
Coordinates all new product and machinery testing as it relates to
the Injection Molding Department and molding operations.
Coordinates all mold machinery efficiency and optimizations.
Able to fill in and complete all tasks of a Mold Specialist. (See
associated Job Descriptions)
Willing to be certified to run all molding-related equipment in the
entire Injection Molding Department.
Troubleshoot and coordinates molding processing, tooling, takeout
device, IML robotic and vision system issues, and their
Able to perform disassembly and reassembly of all mold tooling.
Performs a daily "Beginning of Shift" audit of assigned area with
outgoing Molding Specialist and Process Technicians
Performs machine start-up's and shut down's to required
Provides product acceptability information to packers after
completion of machine adjustments and/or color changes.
Reviews production schedule, makes color and material changes
during the shift in order to prevent overruns.
Reviews with Area supervisor and/or Quality Assurance Technicians
the floor inspection and diameter size check reports and follows up
on items needing technical corrections.
Performs quality inspections and documents product quality and
color shades to assure product is within specifications.
Communicates with quality auditors and/or Area Supervisors
regarding questionable products and makes timely adjustments.
Monitors cycle times to required procedures.
Helps plan and recover molding cavitation.
Assists with the blending of resin for testing or production
Completes test requests and all associated paperwork as
Responsible for quality, scrap, and machine efficiency in assigned
Maintains safety and housekeeping expectations, reports potential
machine or work hazards, responds immediately to emergency machine
problems, and ensures the safety of co-workers within designated
