Makovicka Physical Therapy is seeking energetic, growth-oriented
physical therapist assistants for our outpatient clinics. As a
physical therapist assistant you will work in a friendly and
engaging environment to help you provide the highest quality of
care to our patients. You will be responsible for assisting
physical therapists to provide patient-centered outpatient
treatment through all phases of a patient's physical therapy. You
will work with a dynamic, team oriented staff that provides
outstanding care through comprehensive and customized therapy.

Certification or eligible for certification to practice as a
Physical Therapist Assistant by the Nebraska State Department of
Health and Human Services; graduate from an accredited physical
therapist assistant educational program; basic life support
certification. Display proficiency in the use of standard physical
therapy modalities and treatment procedures.
Requires frequent walking throughout clinic; requires sitting at a
workstation/desk; requires standing; work may include occasional
pushing and/or pulling, lifting, and carrying objects weighing up
to 50 lbs. Requires physical ability to move, lift and transport
patients and equipment.
Ability to work at a fast pace and to prioritize multiple
assignments/projects and respond to numerous requests; ability to
resolve conflict amongst staff and to work collaboratively with
clinic director, staff physical therapist, physicians, other
members of the staff; ability to concentrate and focus on projects;
possess creative systems thinking to ensure operational efficiency;
ability to problem solve and make decisions; self control and
stress tolerance in dealing with multiple requests and conflicting
demands from multiple customers.
Demonstrates clear verbal, non-verbal and written communication
skills, especially in recording evaluations and patient progress
notes. Functions effectively and efficiently under stress with
frequent interruptions. Requires minimal sustained direction in
carrying out departmental and professional responsibilities. Self
starting and self motivating.
