Summary:SAVOR... Omaha at Baxter Arena has an excellent and immediate opening for a Bartender. This position is a customer service focused role for experienced bartenders that are committed to practicing responsible alcohol service in a professional environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Be responsible for mixing drinks to order and serving the guestsBe responsible for having knowledge of all bar drinks and winesOther duties as assignedQualifications:Strong verbal communication; personable and guest service drivenSelf-motivated with Professional demeanorPass a short bartending testMust have good customer service skills and the ability to develop and enhance guest loyaltyMust follow all SMG-SAVOR policies and proceduresAvailability to work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidaysEducation and/or Experience:Previous bartending experience preferredMust be at least 19 years of ageMust be able to pass a credit checkKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Excellent guest service skills: ability to adhere to Universal Service Standards of proper grooming and appearanceMust have basic math skills; ability to count change and balance bankAbility to complete required pre-employment food and alcohol service trainingEffective communication skills; ability to communicate with guests and receive ordersHighly motivated, ability to take initiative, effectively work with others and work in a fast-paced environmentPhysical Demands:Ability to stand and remain stationary for the entire length of shiftConstant standing, bending, reaching and repetitive motionsFrequent lift, push or pull items and objects weighing up to 50 lbsWorking Conditions:May be exposed to variable temperatures, including extreme hot and cold, depending on seasonModerate to extreme exposure to noise during eventsMay be exposed to vibrations caused by extreme noise during eventsMay be exposed to strobe lights/lasers during eventsMay be exposed to chemicals when cleaning locationsNote:The essential responsibilities of this position are described under the headings above.
