Overview
CHI Health Immanuel located in North Omaha just off of I-680 on
72nd Street offers a full-service hospital cancer center
rehabilitation center specialty spine hospital and more. For well

Responsibilities
- Full Time Opportunity
- Day Shifts Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
- Performs standard and complex electroencephalographic
recordings: a) applies suitable electrodes on predetermined
measured positions and checks their performance, b) calibrates and
adjusts the EEG apparatus, c) selects predetermined electrode
combinations as well as special combinations made necessary by the
case under study; takes standard recordings; recognizes artifacts
and takes appropriate steps to eliminate them; describes normal and
abnormal clinical manifestations observed during the tests; uses
activating procedures such as hyperventilation, photic stimulation
and sleep; obtains the patient's cooperation for the best
performance of these procedures; monitors on the same apparatus
other variables such as electromyogram, electrocardiograms,
electro-oculograms, respiration, etc., when indicated. d) abstracts
relevant information from the patient's clinical record and
additional information by questioning. Performs difficult and/or
unusual recording procedures. Identifies appropriate age specific
interventions and incorporates into daily practice
- Assists physician with electromyography. Places the patient on
the examination table and explains procedure.
- Keeps equipment in a clean operating condition. Troubleshoots
and repairs minor malfunctions in the equipment. Initiates repair
of malfunctioning equipment.
- Practices strict ethical enforcement of protected medical and
employee confidentiality. Uses confidential information only as
needed to perform legitimate duties.
- Transports patients, maintaining safety and comfort.
- Authorized to make entries in the medical record, consistent
with and limited to the scope of the job duties and any applicable
licensure.
- Performs EMU monitoring and review under the supervision of the
Epileptologist. Will make annotations and clips for the
Epileptologist as well as maintence of EEG integrity.
- Reviews interoperative monitoring. Building montages and set up
of interoperative and postop EEG monitoring. Assist Epileptologist
with cortical stimulations with documentation and clipping of EEG

Qualifications
Education Non Applicable Licenses & Certifications
- BLS through American Heart Association certification is
required upon hire
- Registered Electroencephalographic (EEG) Tech through the
American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and
Evoked Potential Technologists. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledgeable and skilled in all EEG and EMG diagnostic
testing
- Job requires continuous use of reading skills and verbal
communication skills
- Frequent use of written communication skills
- Job requires delegations, conflict resolution, individual and
group interactions, time management, critical thinking and stress
management
- Incumbents must possess knowledge of how to provide care to a
diverse population of patients and the ability to communicate and
work with people from a variety of age-groups, social strata and
ethnic backgrounds
