AAA Life Insurance is seeking to hire a Policy Change Specialist to
our growing team! This position will process conversion,
reinstatement and policy change coverage applications ensuring each
case is effectively managed to minimize turnaround time and enhance
customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include reviewing
confidential, sensitive, documents for completion and accuracy;
ordering medical records and moving the case to completion.
Proficient in all processing of policy changes, reinstatements, and
conversions. Notifies policyholders and sales agents of changes or
other maintenance to policies.
This is a hybrid position in our Omaha location - 2 days in
office/3 days work from home, 9:30am-6pm Monday-Friday
Position Responsibilities:
Develop and demonstrate detailed product knowledge of all Agent
Sold products and Direct Mail group term products.
Follows established procedures to approve and process reinstatement
applications, conversions, and policy coverage changes within
guidelines.
Generates reports, correspondence and form letters for additional
information, document files and follows up according to established
procedures.
Refers or consults with Senior Policy Change Specialist, management
or other AAA Life personnel as appropriate on more complex
applications.
Receives requests from policyholders for change in policy coverage;
confers with sales agent or insured's and makes required changes in
policies. Some changes may require underwriting approval. In that
case, Policy Change Specialist orders underwriting requirements as
necessary, follows up with vendors, composes letters of explanation
and sends with new policies to insured's. As a result of coverage
changes, adjustments to premium may be required.
Responds to a variety of telephone inquiries from policy owners,
agents and others. This includes making a callback if necessary
within 24 hours, even if question/problem is still being
researched.
Trains fellow employees on department functions.
Assists Manager in establishing procedures and standards of policy
service as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum 3 years' experience in process-oriented customer service
role, preferably within insurance industry
Complete understanding and knowledge of Life insurance company
operations, policies and procedures
Knowledge of various life insurance products marketed by AAA Life
Insurance including Universal Life
Must be able to navigate and operate multiple computer
applications
Ability to multi-task in a high stress environment
May be required to work overtime or weekends in order to meet
deadlines

For the states of California, Colorado, New York and Washington the
pay scale is $38,400 to $57,600 and pay scales may vary based upon
location.
