Job Description Position Purpose: The Security & Compliance
Specialist will support the administrative functions required to
gain and maintain security clearance and approval to work on
government contracts. This position will support HR initiatives in
background checks and employment verifications, audits, and
supplemental reporting. Organization: This position reports to
Essential Job Functions include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.
- Administering security paperwork necessary for employment on
government contracts including in person meetings, virtual
paperwork completion sessions, coordinating fingerprints,
scheduling, and following up on drug screening for new
candidates.
- Coordinate and collect paperwork from new associates both in
person and remote.
- Review paperwork for Compliance and in accordance with HR
standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with HR team members in coordinating a successful
onboarding to the organization.
- Utilizes established internal controls and auditing systems to
identify, detect, and correct noncompliance.
- Assists with training initiatives that inform stakeholders
about HR compliance requirements.
- Performs regular audits on access and background screening in
accordance with contracting requirements for all commercial and
federal partnerships.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge & Experience:
- 1-2 years' experience in HR or Compliance environment
required.
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
- Compliance and/or HR certifications preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and critical thinking problem solving skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills. General Areas of
Accountability: Must conduct business and personal affairs in a
manner that is always a credit to the company. Must maintain a good
credit rating while employed with the company. Machines and
Equipment: The incumbent must be able to effectively operate the
current computer system, telephone system, and other office
machines such as copier and fax machines. Physical Activity: The
incumbent must be able to finger, grasp, feel, see, sit, hear, and
speak. This position is sedentary in nature with minimal lifting
requirements. WORKING CONDITIONS: The incumbent works in an office
environment that is not substantially exposed to adverse
environmental conditions such as heat, cold, or extreme noise.
Routine periods of being on the phone utilizing a headset, sitting
and data keying are required. Remote Eligibility: This position is
Ad-hoc remote eligible. Eligibility is determined by Management or
