Supervisor II - BillingGrade DJob Objective:Serves as the Client
Services Supervisor responsible for providing first level customer
service support. This includes supervising, training and coaching a
staff on billing, first reporting of claim, software application
technical issues, basic usage of retail software products, and
other customer service processes related to NICO primary and BHHC
property and casualty operations.Major Duties:
- Serves as the Client Services Supervisor responsible for
supervising, answering questions and assisting in the instruction
with others pertaining to billing, first reporting of claim,
software application technical issues, basic usage of retail
software products, and other customer service processes related to
NICO primary and BHHC property and casualty operations.
- Directs and trains staff on key job duties, answers questions
and assists in the instruction with others in the customer service
processes and underwriting related activities relating to
commercial lines of insurance policies for the NICO primary and
BHHC property and casualty operations.
- Supervises the training of staff personnel. Interviews job
candidates, initiates or recommends personnel actions including
hiring, promotions, transfers, discharges, disciplinary methods,
performance appraisals, salary adjustments, and staffing
levels.
- Answers questions and supervises others in handling first level
technical issues related to direct bill, binding, and basic usage
of the Company's rating and policy servicing products for retail
agents.
- Participates in various customer service and claims reporting
processes. Supervises, answers questions, and/or performs the daily
workflow transactions including responding to agents and
policyholders regarding inquiries to billing, making electronic
payments on-line at the insureds' request, setting up recurring
payment transactions for individual accounts, collecting the
information required for the reporting of a new claim, responding
to claims and customer service inquiries, connecting the individual
with the appropriate second or third level support when
appropriate, etc.
- Reviews customer service interactions and monitors the
performance of staff personnel for quality assurance purposes.
- Performs related duties as situation dictates such as
evaluating internal Company processes, designing training material,
participating in special projects, etc.Required Knowledge:
- Bachelor degree in business or related field or equivalent
- 3-5 years related work experience
- Knowledge of commercial automobile rating and policy coverages
and endorsements
- Insurance coverages and rating and insurance products
- Company guidelines on acceptability and profitability for
applications/accounts/policies Preferred Knowledge:
- Principles of finance, business, statistics, and insurance
- Insurance industry and marketing techniques
- Company, Agency, and department practices and procedures
- Personal computer and related spreadsheet and data manipulation
