AmeriFirst, a division of FNBO, is seeking a Credit Support
Clerk.
Position Purpose: Responsible for performing credit department
support functions related to application entry and facilitation of
those applications through the underwriting process. This includes
functions related to fulfilling stipulations, routing applications
and preparation and tracking of electronic documents from credit to
funding. Also included preparation of Adverse Action Notices and
assisting with reporting as needed. Maintains departmental records
and files per policy.About This Role: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC
DUTIES Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of
assigned functions.
- Assist Merchants as needed with procedures and process to
develop their ability to function independently inputting
applications, submitting stipulations and printing and completing
loan documents.
- When electronic documents are selected, gathers all necessary
data to prepare and send documents, tracks documents to completion
and delivery to funding.
- Inputs applications from time to time as needed and is
responsible for basic stipulation review of work orders and
applications. This individual forwards income, property ownership
and other requested documentation to individuals with proper
authority for review. Assumes responsibility for the effective and
professional performance of functions.
- Answers and solves problems for contractor/dealers by
listening, collecting data, securing answers, and reporting results
to the inquiring party.
- Assists the underwriting department with review and routing of
stipulations and applications and assists funding through delivery
of electronic documents. Assists with pipeline review and status
follow up with merchants to maintain current status of applications
through pipeline review. Assumes responsibility for establishing
and maintaining effective business relations with
contractor/dealers, vendors, and trade professionals.
- Assists with questions and problems courteously and promptly.
Keeps merchants properly informed of AmeriFirst policies and
procedures.
- Maintains the Company's professional reputation. Assumes
responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working
relations with Company personnel and with management.
- Assists and supports Department personnel.
- Coordinates with related departments and obtains or conveys
information as needed.
- Keeps management informed of area activities and of any
significant problems.
- Attends and participates in meetings as required. Assumes
responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
- Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
- Completes special projects as assigned. The Ideal Candidate for
This Role: Education/Certification: High school graduate or
equivalent. Coursework in keyboarding and general office skills
helpful. Required Knowledge: Basic understanding of loan
application entry functions. Knowledge of related computer
applications. Experience Required: Prior clerical experience
helpful, particularly in a financial environment. Skills/Abilities:
Strong computer skills Well organized and attentive to detail. Good
