POSITION SUMMARY

The P6 Master Scheduler will bring to the E2 team a detailed understanding of developing and maintaining project plans in a complex construction environment. This role will provide support to a large new commercial construction data center program using Primavera P6 to develop detailed resource loaded schedules, maintain project management systems and Earned Value Management reporting. The P6 Scheduler will maintain, monitor, analyze and communicate impacts to project scheduling, resource, labor and materials management, risk and issue mitigation to project team and client.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review\monitor schedule risk analysis to forecast contingencies. Implement contingency management.
  • Establish and maintain a program that identifies and quantifies project labor hour forecasts.
  • Prepare and issue schedule analysis narratives including recommendations for corrective actions that are used by business unit management and project teams to manage the work.
  • Provide program\project consistency between scheduling, cost control, and earned value control.
  • Supervise the development, approval, and issuance of client and internal status reports that effectively communicate schedule status and identify critical path. Motivate the project team to define corrective actions for implementation.
  • Apply practical field experience with planning/scheduling knowledge to identify challenges to the project schedule and suggest mitigation plans.
  • Advise project management of cost and cumulative impact of proposed design or construction changes.
  • Support procurement by preparing cost analysis for subcontractor pricing to determine whether pricing is fair and reasonable.
  • Maintain and trend historical cost data from actual hours, costs, and pricing.
  • Apply practical field experience and constructability expertise to the development of conceptual estimates when minimal design drawings and information are available.
  • Implement and manage the use of standard estimating systems. Define the need and be able to modify the system approach as appropriate to support specific proposal or project requirements.
  • Coach\Mentor and guide project controls staff in project controls fundamentals, procedures and guidelines.
  • Communicate through visual reporting & analytics with external stakeholders.
  • Identify and communicate key schedule issues to project/construction and operations management in a timely manner to allow corrective action to be implemented.
  • Conduct Risk Identification workshop and maintain risk register throughout the project.



    Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2.



    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:



    Education:


    • BS or AA in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related Professional Experience.
    • Scheduling Certification strongly preferred: Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) or Project Management Professional (PMP)

      Experience:


      • Leadership, coaching and transferring knowledge approach.
      • Proven Advanced expertise utilizing Primavera P6 a must.
      • Spreadsheet and cost performance tracking is a must.
      • In depth knowledge in the Project Controls aspects.
      • 5+ years of progressive experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent combination of education and experience Resource and cost loaded construction schedule development.
      • EVM5(Earned Value Management) reporting.
      • CPI/SPI metrics evaluation.
      • Look ahead schedule, tracking, progress reporting.
      • Oracle platform knowledge is highly preferred.
      • Knowledge of Agile Construction Management is highly preferred.
      • Competency with MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook.
      • Construction/Manufacturing pace project experience is preferable.

          WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

          The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. Ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, bend, rotate, push, pull, reach with hands and arms on intermittent to regular basis daily. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. The employee may be required to work in tight, confined spaces. The employee must demonstrate regular and on-time attendance. There could be a requirement of occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
