Security Associate, Public Sector, you'll create a positive
employee experience through developing team leaders who support
employees with access to the tools and systems they need achieve
maximum potential in each phase of their career. You'll also
maintain the information security controls in accordance with best
practices, while also serving as a process owner of all information
security assurance activities related to the availability,
integrity and confidentiality of customer, business partner,
employee and business information.You'll report to Vice President
of Information Security. You will contribute to the success of the
business by impacting your team and learners through managing our
Information Security.During a Typical Day, You'll
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols and
procedures
- Plan and coordinate security operations for specific
events
- Review reports on incidents and breaches
- Create reports for management on security status
- Analyze data to form proposals for improvements of existing
tools or adding additional products or services
- Collaborate with department managers to determine security
needs
- Plan and implement comprehensive security strategiesWhat You
Bring to the Role
- Extensive knowledge of NIST 800-53. Specifically, security
controls, privacy controls, and security control baselines for a
"Moderate-Impact" information system
- At least 2 years of proven experience with NIST 800-53
- Excellent knowledge of security protocols, procedures,
preventing illicit activity, security breaches and threats and
technologies
- Ability to draft, interpret, implement, and incorporate/enforce
established security policies into security protocols and
procedures
- Experience adopting and following the secure System Development
Life Cycle (SDLC) process standard
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations,
including but not limited to the following:
- All US cybersecurity government regulations, Federal laws, New
York State laws and regulations, including all information security
policies and standards published by NYS Office of Technology
Services (OTS), and Cloud Security Alliance
- New Jersey State laws and regulations (NERC, Cyber, PII, PHI,
etc.),
- Industry requirements (Sarbanes-Oxley, Gramm-Leach-Bliley,
PCI-DSS, etc.),
- Cloud Security Alliance: Cloud Controls Matrix
- FIPS 199: Standards for Security Categorization of Federal
Information and Information System
- FIPS 200: Minimum Security Requirements for Federal Information
and Information Systems
- NIST 800-53: Recommended Security Controls for Federal
Information Systems and Organizations
- NIST 800-88: Guidelines for Media Sanitization
- NIST 800-144: Guidelines on Security and Privacy in Public
Cloud Computing
- NIST 800-146: Cloud Computing Synopsis and RecommendationsWhat

anticipated range is $80,000 - $130,000 USD. Actual compensation
offers to a candidate may vary based upon geographic location, work
