• Retail and business space renovationsThe Estimator is responsible for maintaining profitable construction estimates within the company, gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Their job is to analyze labor, material, and time requirements. Our ideal candidate is proactive, detail orientated, client-focused, and has a strong background in estimating metal stud frame drywall. Skills:Estimation, timberline, sage, drywall, metal stud frame, multifamilyTop Skills Details:* 3+ years of Estimation preferably a background in Metal Stud Frame Drywall on Commercial Projects. OR someone who has done estimation of ground-up projects but now wants to focus on one discipline. * Ability to interact professionally with possible clients must be someone who is used to the customer service aspect of construction* Has used Estimation software EX: Timberline, Blue Beam, Sage, QuickBid Additional Skills & Qualifications:
  • EDUCATION-Prefer Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Construction or relative work experience
  • A minimum of 3 years in construction estimating
  • Fulfill client appointments in a timely manner
  • Assess projects by identifying project requirements (in regard to time, labor, and material costs)
  • Read blueprints and analyze all other applicable documents in order to prepare estimates
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects during estimate creation in order to ensure overall accuracy
  • Participate in the calculation, analysis, and adjustment of estimates
  • Present estimates to clients in a timely and polite manner
  • Recommend cost-reduction options
  • Negotiate sales of projects
  • Create project start-up documents for the project managers to include: budgets, stocking reports, submittals, and vendor quotes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as well as conflict resolution abilities
  • Ability to identify and meet customers' needs and requirements
  • Must be computer literate and current on new technologies
  • Preferred experience in estimating software
  • Above-average experience in Microsoft office and Windows systems
  • Hardworking and a problem solver
  • Exceptional phone and client care skills
  • A positive and upbeat attitude
  • Must have superior organization and time management skillsOther Skills
    • Experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing deadlines, experience in sales/networking, quick decision-making, and excellent written and verbal skills.
    • Hands-on experience working with project management/estimation software is important. Integrity and high commitment are essential in this position.
