Job Description:
As a member of the Inventory team the Inventory Specialist is
responsible for checking in manufacturing materials accurately,
resolving inventory transaction errors, identifying root cause for
errors and supporting corrective actions to minimize recurrence.
This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and
cycle counting processes by reviewing, reinforcing and analyzing
inventory transaction processes to maintain accurate and optimal
inventory levels to support production and company goals and
targets. Essential Duties:
- Responsible for accurate receiving to PO and stocking of
inventory.
- Resolve inventory transaction errors and identify root cause
and corrective actions.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by correcting errors, performing
cycle counts and reinforcing proper inventory processes.
- Receive materials, check in to system verifying count,
segregating by department and labeling accurately.
- Assist personnel in finding lost/misplaced product.
- Research and resolve inventory issues timely.
- Perform Cycle counts to expectations.
- Enter inventory transactions accurately.
- Perform returns to Inventory accurately.
- Maintain clean and orderly areas of responsibility.
- Actively supports Continuous Improvement initiatives to
accomplish team goals.
- Maintain company attendance expectations.
- Reports food safety concerns to management.
- Other duties as assigned. Do you have what it takes?
- Experience with IQMS or similar ERP System.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase
orders, pricing sheets, bills of material, and other reports
- Ability to create basic excel sheets
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions,
percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out
instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete
variables in standardized situations.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have
knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software;
