Beginning wage is $18.00 per hour plus benefit package The primary purpose of this position is to support the ReStore donations function through the loading/unloading and transportation of donated goods from community locations to the ReStore retail facilities, warehouse and office locations as directed. The ReStore driver will be a liaison with the community, building awareness of Habitat for Humanity of Omaha, its mission and opportunities for involvement. Requirements Key Responsibilities

• Ensures timely pickup of donated goods/materials and monetary donations. Transports goods in a safe and secure manner to avoid damage in transit;
• Provide donors with appropriate receipts for tax purposes;
• Maintains professional interactions with donors regarding acceptable/unacceptable items, changes to the pick-up schedule or other communications that impacts donor relations;
• Responds to donation inquiries in a timely fashion;
• Assist in maintaining an orderly system to receive goods through the load area at ReStore retail facilities minimizing truck to floor time;
• Leads volunteers who assist with donation pick-ups ensuring safety, professional communication and positive representation of Habitat in the community;
• Organizes donated goods and materials at the warehouse as necessary to maximize space and maintain quick access to goods;
• Operates all equipment properly and follows established procedures for regular maintenance and timely reporting malfunctions;
• Provides training and support to store staff assigned to donations drop-off;
• Ensures ReStore policies and procedures are followed;
• Maintain a working knowledge of ReStore online donation software (Vonigo);
• Promote Habitat in the community through positive interactions and excellent customer service with donors and customers;
• Assist in daily store operations and/or warehouse, as assigned by management Supervisory Responsibilities No formal supervisory responsibilities. May lead volunteers from time to time Requirements; Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Must be at least 18-years old;
  • One year experience driving a delivery vehicle or CDL;
  • Excellent driving record;
  • Knowledge of Omaha city streets and/or ability to use GPS, read maps and comprehend directions;
  • Able to lift 50 lbs., without assistance frequently
  • Able to squat and/or kneel frequently;
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with people from diverse backgrounds, effective customer service skills;
  • Goal-oriented, out-going professional; a self-starter;
  • Ability to lead volunteers, ensuring volunteers and donors an excellent experience.
