Summary/Objective

The production scheduling lead position plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.

• Work with Production Manager to create shop floor work orders throughout all production departments and maintain dates within the company ERP system. Print and delivery job travelers to respective departments.
• Assist in planning the day-to-day allocation of resources (equipment, people, and materials) in order to efficiently, safely and cost effectively achieve performance targets.
• Up to date reporting on past due parts, scheduling conflicts, missing pieces, and any other relevant information.
• Build and monitor production schedules for each department to ensure sales timelines are being met.
• Direct communication with Logistics Department on outstanding items needed for upcoming builds.
• Must be willing to react quickly to changes in production demand and be able to coordinate production schedule changes to meet sales demands.
• Continuously investigate ways to enhance production processes to achieve higher utilization and efficiencies.
• Work proactively with various departments to realize efficiencies and manage expectations.
• Review past work orders and update shop floor production standards and other parameters within the company ERP system.
• Review COGS and report any findings to the Production Manager.

  Work Environment
  
  This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  
  The position requires frequent visits to all areas within the facility, including the manufacturing area. While in the manufacturing area, the team member is exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the manufacturing environment can be loud.
  
  Physical Demands

  The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  
  Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
  
  This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position may occasionally require long hours and weekend work.
  
  Travel
  
  Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
  
  Required Education and Experience
  
  
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
  
  Preferred Education and Experience
  
• Working knowledge of agriculture industry or manufacturing
