Today we're continuing to blaze a trail of firsts, setting new standards in the industry for quality, excellence and care. We are currently recruiting for a talented and motivated National Sales Director. This is a senior level position that contributes to the success of the organization by developing and executing key sales growth strategies to achieve financial targets.

Responsibilities:

• Directly lead and manage the company's Regional Sales Managers to achieve sales growth and customer retention.
• Complete market research and analyze results to adjust sales and marketing strategy for maximum success.
• Use creativity and thorough knowledge of sales processes to provide innovative ideas for business growth.
• Train and coach sales managers to improve productivity and effectiveness of their efforts.
• Manage distributor relationships to foster sales growth.
• Establish and manage annual retailer promotional budgets.
• Monitor broker performance to ensure sales results exceed resources spent.
• Responsible for developing and managing relationships with ongoing clients and researching new clients to establish new accounts.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with key clients, including negotiating and closing on major contracts
• Produce proactive action plans that increase brand awareness of company products.
• Develop and execute an annual sales strategy that results in continued business growth.
• Become the expert on all accounts. Understand the retailer's needs, strategies, and objectives. Use this expertise to build the business within each individual account.
• Determine spending priorities to maximize new customer capture and the retention of existing customers, manage monthly expenses, analyzing variances, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Provide guidance and leadership for large national accounts, remain engaged with key retail buyers/merchants to maintain relationships and effectively communicate growth opportunities with new products, product promotions, and new product features to expand placement and saturation.
• Represent Tender & True Pet Nutrition at national and regional shows.
  Minimum Qualifications:
  
  • Proven work experience as a senior level sales manager/director in the consumer goods industry.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated skill in negotiating and closing on critical sales contracts.
  • Strong team management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to achieve personal, professional growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and manage sales professionals.
  • Ability to travel frequently.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' work experience in consumer products industry is preferred.
