nursing, and therapy wrapped services to children of all abilities

join our team ! We are looking for a part-time (15-20 hours per
week) pediatric Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant
to float between our NW (88th & Blondo) and SW (138th & Q) centers
. Physical Therapist will be responsible for: Working with
pediatric clients with disabilities, injuries, and serious health
impairments to restore, maintain, and promote overall gross motor
function and health. Assessing the needs, analyzing risks, and
problem solving effectively while using a high level of
professional judgment to recommend and provide therapy services to
our pediatric clients. Making environmental modifications and
training staff to manage physical needs at an appropriate level of
supervision with direct supervision exercised over support
personnel. Physical Therapist Assistant will be responsible for:
Working with pediatric clients with disabilities, injuries, and
serious health impairments to restore, maintain, and promote
overall gross motor function and health under the supervision of a
physical therapist. Integrate and collaborate with other
disciplines in order to effectively carry out individualized
programs, provided by physical therapist, based on improving
deficits in areas of gross motor function, adaptive equipment, and
self-advocacy. Assess and teach clients who have limited
capabilities to develop abilities needed to foster independence and
positive interactions in their home and community environments. A
pediatric physical therapist assistant works under the supervision
of a physical therapist to treat children from birth to age 21 at
CRCC. A PTA will treat problems such as injuries, pre-existing
conditions, and issues caused by illnesses or diseases. Physical
Therapist Essential Functions/Responsibilities Plans, coordinates,
directs, and evaluates physical therapy treatments, procedures, and
programs from date of evaluation through date of discharge while
adhering to professional, ethical, and legal standards of practice.
Reviews client records in order to determine necessary physical
therapy services (screen, evaluation, and continued treatment).
Evaluates client to determine intervention strategies and frequency
of physical therapy treatment necessary using appropriate tests and
measures. Makes recommendations regarding the use of adaptive
equipment, orthotics, assistive devices, and adjunct sessions with
trained staff or family members. Administers physical therapy
programs and intervention strategies. Provides direct supervision
to physical therapist assistants every 30 days per Nebraska
Physical Therapy Practice Act. Modifies intervention when deemed
appropriate. Collaborates with school therapists in order to
provide consistent and effective care. Trains staff in safe
implementation of physical therapy needs in the classroom. Records
all pertinent data in the client’s medical records. Provides and
record all relevant paperwork and client information (evaluations,
re-evaluations, daily notes, plan of care updates, and discharge
summaries) per policies and procedures for the therapy department.
Assists with the recruiting and pre-screening of therapy clients.
Provides proper documentation for ordering necessary therapy
equipment, supplies and assessment tools as needed. Provides weekly
schedule to Rehab Services Coordinator by Wednesday at noon each
week or enters weekly schedule into the EHR system by the end of
the last working day, the week prior. Respectfully communicates
with parents/caregivers and serves as a resource for information
relevant to client care, using Tadpoles. Physical Therapist
Assistant Essential Functions/Responsibilities Observing patients
before, during and after therapy. Noting the patient’s status and
reporting it to a physical therapist. Helping patients do specific
exercises that the physical therapist has put in the plan of care.
Treating patients using a variety of techniques, including, but not
limited to, stretching, equipment training, functional mobility,
etc. Helping children to learn to move their bodies correctly.
Assessing patients and monitoring their progress. Collaborate with
school therapists/classroom teachers in order to provide consistent
and effective care. Train staff in safe implementation of physical
therapy needs in the classroom, as directed/approved by physical
therapist. Record all pertinent data in the client’s medical
records per policies and procedures for the therapy department.
Respectfully communicate with parents/caregivers and serve as a
resource for information relevant to client care. Attend monthly
team meetings and all other meetings necessary for continuity of
care for clients. Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist

supervision and carries them out within a reasonable timeframe.

grooming and wearing appropriate attire. Physical Therapist and
Physical Therapist Assistant Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to stay calm and poised in challenging situations. Ability
to communicate ideas in a clear and comprehensive manner both
orally and in writing. Ability to prioritize, multi-task and take
direction from others. Ability to work effectively in a team
environment. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Benefits CRCC also offers
excellent benefits for part-time employees. For Casual and
Part-time employees'- who work 15-29 hours per week and Part-time
30 plus hours worked per week, who work at least 80 hours of
consecutive employment in a calendar year, will accrue one hour per
each 30 hours worked with an accrual cap of 56 hours. Holiday
policy for paid holidays for part-time staff that average 15 to 35
hours a week, will be paid the average daily hours worked up to a
maximum of 4 hours. CRCC employees' who work 30 or more hours per
week are eligible for health, dental and vision benefits.
Requirements: Minimum Qualifications for Physical Therapist
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy School with any of the
following degrees or combination of these degrees: BS, MS, MPT or
DPT. Current active license in state of Nebraska as a Physical
Therapist. Current active BLS/CPR certification required.
Experience with pediatric physical therapies preferred. Able to
meet agency’s conditions of employment regarding health status and
clearance with the Nebraska Child Abuse/Neglect Central Registry
and/or Adult Abuse/Neglect Registry and the Nebraska State Patrol.
Minimum Qualifications for Physical Therapist Assistant Graduate of
an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program with an
Associate’s Degree. Current active license in state of Nebraska as
a Physical Therapist Assistant. Obtain BLS/CPR certification upon
hire Experience with physical therapy in pediatric setting
preferred. Able to meet agency’s conditions of employment regarding
health status and clearance with the Nebraska Child Abuse/Neglect
Central Registry and/or Adult Abuse/Neglect Registry and the
