Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68124!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PCU/Med
Surg/Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per
Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Chemotherapy certification
preferred, not required. Experience in oncology and PCU is
required. Ability to titrate drips, including insulin and cardizem.
Description: This position is in a mixed unit providing care to
oncology and trauma patients. The unit comprises 28 beds with RN
ratios of 1:4 in PCU and 1:5 in Med/Surg. On nights, RNs can expect
a ratio of 1 RN to 5-6 patients. Common diagnoses include various
oncology-related conditions and trauma. Travelers may float between
the PCU and Med/Surg units as needed. RNs will be required to
adhere to a fingernail policy, prohibiting artificial nails.
Candidates should be prepared for a pass/fail exam during
orientation, with a minimum score required to continue employment.
Familiarity with EPIC within the last 6 months is preferred. All
nurses must demonstrate excellent teamwork and a compassionate
approach to patient care. The work environment is diverse,
requiring respect and understanding of cultural differences in
patient backgrounds. Patient experience initiatives emphasize
hourly rounding to enhance care quality. RNs must be able to engage
with patients from diagnosis to various treatment stages, including
