Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Omaha, NE Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,332 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68124! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PCU/Med Surg/Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Chemotherapy certification preferred, not required. Experience in oncology and PCU is required. Ability to titrate drips, including insulin and cardizem. Description: This position is in a mixed unit providing care to oncology and trauma patients. The unit comprises 28 beds with RN ratios of 1:4 in PCU and 1:5 in Med/Surg. On nights, RNs can expect a ratio of 1 RN to 5-6 patients. Common diagnoses include various oncology-related conditions and trauma. Travelers may float between the PCU and Med/Surg units as needed. RNs will be required to adhere to a fingernail policy, prohibiting artificial nails. Candidates should be prepared for a pass/fail exam during orientation, with a minimum score required to continue employment. Familiarity with EPIC within the last 6 months is preferred. All nurses must demonstrate excellent teamwork and a compassionate approach to patient care. The work environment is diverse, requiring respect and understanding of cultural differences in patient backgrounds. Patient experience initiatives emphasize hourly rounding to enhance care quality.
