Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Schuyler, NE Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,200 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/25/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Floating to Emergency Department as needed - Driver's license required to determine distance eligibility - Open book exam during orientation, must achieve 90% to pass - No artificial nails allowed in patient care areas Description: This position requires floating to the Emergency Department as needed. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license for eligibility verification. During orientation, there will be an open book exam on skills learned, where nurses must achieve a 90% score to pass. Prohibition of artificial nails is enforced in all patient care areas, and refusal to comply may result in termination. Nurse-patient ratios are typically 1:3-4, focusing on adult and geriatric patients, along with occasional pediatrics. Majority of patients will be in Swing Bed requiring IV antibiotics, therapy, or wound care. Common diagnoses include diabetes, pancreatitis, pneumonia, among others. A charge nurse will be present on each shift but will take an assignment. There are nurse aides or patient care technicians available with a ratio of 1:8. Self-scheduling is available with manager approval. Weekend and holiday work requirements include rotation based on unit needs. The color for scrubs is navy blue. Two days of specific orientation are provided. Successful candidates will demonstrate willingness to assist wherever needed. The team environment promotes a family feel and strong teamwork culture. All requests for time off (RTO) must be communicated upfront. Additional RTO will not be approved post-submission. The cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during a 13-week assignment. Experience using the EPIC charting system is required. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required for submission. This role is set in an acute care setting. The assignment is for night shifts. Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
