Payroll Coordinator

Job Description:

Summary: Process all payroll and tax filings and related duties. This position is full time working hours totaling 40 hours per week. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Process bi-weekly payroll through Kronos Payroll System by verifying employee time entries, taxes, insurance, and other deductions - Review tax filings for completeness, accuracy, internal consistency and validity - Review entry of new employee benefits enrollment, changes, and termination paperwork - Code and enter benefits invoices for Accounts Payable - Resolve employee questions and concerns regarding pay and deductions - Manage event additions and removals in Kronos Payroll System - Enter Garnishments into Kronos Payroll System - Register new employees with the State of Nebraska - Track PTO accruals and usage - Biweekly prepare and distribute Overtime reports - Generate time and attendance reports related to ACA tracking and benefits eligibility - Download reports and statistics from Kronos System to EBMS Accounting System - Daily bank reconciliations - Assist with all month-end and year-end processes as needed. - Perform other tasks as assigned or needed. - Regular and predictable attendance. Qualifications: - Associate's Degree in Accounting or equivalent from two-year college or technical school - Two to four years related experience of payroll processing and tax filing or a combination of education and experience may be considered. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines - Experience working with Kronos payroll system highly preferred. - Ability to maintain confidentiality is required - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with medium to large accounting software programs.
